Stonehenge Golf Course is named in the top five courses you can play in Tennessee by Golfweek Magazine. Each year, Golfweek Magazine ranks golf programs state-by-state. Stonehenge Golf Club has set in the top five for the past eight years and this is the third year in a row to have the Brae course at Heatherhurst included on this reputable list. Golfweek has golf course raters who travel the world playing and ranking courses each year. The golf course rankers have 10 criteria to go by. They look at the ease of the route, quality and feature/shape, natural setting and land plan, greens, and contours, variety and memorability of 3,4, and 5 par, conditioning quality, landscape and tree management, and “walk in the park” test. The layout has 18 holes in the course, it is public, and 6,549 yards, and a slope of 137. This course is rated 5 stars by the public and they are known for all their interesting golfing features. Your experience will be one of a kind and they will treat you at home.
This golf course gets its name from walls of natural stone found all throughout the 6549 yards, par 72 layouts. Natural stone outcroppings come into play on several holes, with a 15 foot layered stone retaining wall running along the left and rear of the signature downhill par 3, 14th hole. Fairfield Glade is home to five beautiful championship golf courses and is open to the public for an amazing golf experience. Throughout the past few years, they have hosted four statewide championships: the Senior Open, Women’s Open, Father/Son Championship, and the Tennessee Cup Team Matches. The architect Joe Lee took the rolling, wooded Cumberland Plateau and created a beautiful mountain layout with Bentgrass greens, tees, and fairways. Elite Gutters and Sunrooms are proud to be able to locally offer sunrooms to Fairfield Glade.
